This is a very effective way of cleaning stains between teeth where a ultra-sonic scaler would struggle, however the scaler can remove calculus (tartar) which air polishing cannot remove. Therefore for a complete clean, a combination of both systems is ideal, which we call a supreme clean.

But after attending this dentist for 4yrs I am completely cured and actually relaxed whilst in the chair. They have been consistently understanding and helpful.
