Dentures Leicester

If a tooth cannot be saved and needs to be extracted (removed), then a removable appliance can be fabricated to give back function and aesthetics. This is in the form of an acrylic or chromium-cobalt denture. This can take multiple visits to fabricate but can provide a non-invasive option to restore missing teeth.

Dentures play a crucial role in restoring oral function and aesthetics for individuals with missing teeth. At Smile Serenity Dental Care in Leicester, patients can explore a variety of denture options tailored to their specific needs. This article will provide an in-depth look at the types of dentures available, their benefits, and the costs associated with them. Many individuals face challenges related to missing teeth, which can affect their confidence and ability to eat comfortably. Fortunately, dentures offer a reliable solution to these issues, enhancing both functionality and appearance. We will cover the types of dentures offered, the process of obtaining them, financing options, maintenance tips, and repair services available at Smile Serenity Dental Care.

What Types of Dentures Does Smile Serenity Dental Care Offer in Leicester?

Smile Serenity Dental Care provides a range of denture options to meet the diverse needs of patients in Leicester. Understanding the types of dentures available is essential for making an informed decision about your dental care.

How Do Partial Dentures Restore Some Missing Teeth?

Partial dentures restore some missing teeth by providing a removable solution that fills the gaps left by lost teeth. They help restore functionality, allowing for better chewing and speaking, and improve aesthetics by enhancing the appearance of the smile. Additionally, partial dentures help maintain the position of remaining natural teeth but do not prevent bone loss in the jawbone where teeth are missing. This restoration not only improves daily life but also boosts self-esteem, making it a valuable option for many patients.

When Are Complete Dentures Recommended for Full Tooth Replacement?

Complete dentures are recommended for individuals who have lost all of their natural teeth. They provide a full arch of replacement teeth, which can significantly improve the ability to chew and speak. Complete dentures are typically considered when a patient has experienced extensive tooth loss due to decay, gum disease, or injury. The adjustment period for complete dentures can vary, but many patients find that they gradually adapt to their new smile, enjoying the benefits of restored function and appearance.

How Are Implant Retained Dentures Different and What Are Their Benefits?

Implant retained dentures offer a more stable and secure alternative to traditional dentures. By anchoring the dentures to dental implants, patients can experience improved comfort and functionality.

What Is the Process for Getting Implant Supported Dentures in Leicester?

The process of obtaining implant-supported dentures begins with a consultation at Smile Serenity Dental Care, where a thorough examination is conducted. Following this, a treatment plan is developed, which may include the placement of dental implants in the jawbone. After the implants have integrated with the bone, custom dentures are created and fitted. This process typically involves multiple visits over several months, but the result is a secure and natural-feeling denture solution that enhances the quality of life for many patients.

How Do Implant Retained Dentures Improve Stability Compared to Traditional Options?

Implant-retained dentures improve stability compared to traditional options by reducing movement during eating and speaking. This stability enhances chewing ability and provides greater confidence for the wearer. Patients often report feeling more secure with implant-supported dentures, as they do not rely on adhesives or suction to stay in place. This advancement in denture technology represents a significant improvement in patient satisfaction and comfort.

Can not thank Dr Roy and Natalie enough. Iam a very anxious patient with a needle phobia. Dr Roy was more than amazing, kind and I hardly felt anything during my filling. Natalie is very calming and reassuring.

I am awarding 5 Stars to the Dentist - Dr Roy. His customer service was top notch. This was my first visit to him, (in fact my first visit to a Dentist in over 10 years) and I wouldn't be able to fault his service.

I’ve been using rhis dentist surgery for a while now. The dentist, E. Georgopoulos is fantastic. Great at explaining everything into understandable terms for me and never felt pushed towards procedures but told the pros and cons about the long term possibilities of my tooth health given each procedure. Two root canal operations were carried out prior to a hospital visit to have a cyst removed from my nasel cavity. The consultant at the hospital explained that the work carried out by the dentist E. Georgopoulos was to a very high standard. I am pleased that the teeth have been saved as they are at the front of my mouth. Highly recommended this surgery for anyone who values high quality dental care. Mark

How much does a denture cost?

Depending on the denture type and material, an upper denture can range from £850-£1400

How long does it take to make a denture?

A denture would typically require 3-4 appointments to fabricate and two weeks between each appointment while the work gets sent between the dental practice and the dental lab. Dentures can be made quicker but then the cost would increase to cover the fast track fabrication with the dental lab.

What is an immediate denture?

This is a denture that is fabricated ahead of time before problematic teeth are extracted. On the day of the tooth extraction, the denture is fitted on the same appointment, so that you do not leave without teeth. Immediate dentures will become loose due to the healing of the gums and bones and this is where fixodent will help keep the dentures to hold in place. Once healing has settled 3-6 months after the tooth extraction, we would recommend having a denture reline, which allows the denture to get back a much tighter fit and improved retention.
