Appointment time - 30-45 minutes on average

There are two dental cleans within the Smile Serenity Essentials Dental Plan and four dental cleans within the Smile Serenity Perio-support Plan. These dental plans are designed to reduce the cost of routine dental appointments, ultimately making your dental health a priority as well as accessible.

A direct access scale and polish has been designed for patients that have not been seen for a dental examination with us and would only like a dental clean. We always recommend a dental examination for your dental health. Just keep in mind that we can't take responsibility for any undiagnosed dental problems that might show up during or after your direct access treatment, so we do encourage a regular exam when you can.

FAQs

Are you Private Dental Practice or an NHS (Mixed) Dental Practice ?

We are a fully private dental practice, and do not offer NHS dental services.

Does a Scale and Polish hurt?

If it has been a while since you have had a scale and polish, it may feel sensitive around front teeth, and it is mostly well tolerated. However we always let our patients know that if the discomfort is too much, they should raise their hand and we will stop. We can then either decide to move away from that sensitive area or use local anaesthetic to help while cleaning the sensitive tooth. We always ensure patients comfortability is a priority and find ways of managing discomfort.

Is a Scale and Polish necessary?

It is essential to remove calculus so that your toothpaste can access around the full tooth and gums. The build up of calculus usually takes 3-6 months to form and this is how often we recommend coming in for a scale and polish so that we remove calculus. Calculus can lead to gum disease and gum disease can lead to wobbly teeth than can fall out. Therefore it is important to have dental cleans (scale and polish) to look after your gum health as well as remove stains for better aesthetics.

Are there alternatives to a scale and polish?

For removing calculus, only scalers can do this however for stain removal, air polishing is a brilliant alternative that can increase comfort and clean between teeth effectively.

Can i book my appointment online?

Yes, we provide online booking as well as booking your appointment over the phone or within the practice.

Are you wheel-chair accessible?

Yes we are and we provide disabled bathroom facilities.

Do you have onsite parking?

Yes we do, we have plenty of parking onsite and we are located close to Fosse Park Shopping Centre in Leicester.

The dental plans are designed to save money for routine dental appointments. The equivalent cost of a dental exam, when part of the annual plan, is £40 compared to £70.

There are monthly and annual options, with the annual option being the most cost effective choice, that gives maximum value and has not changed in price since we opened in 2021.

Monthly essentials plan is £15 a month and does not include the very first checkup. It does include the checkup in 6 months time along with two sessions of dental cleans and 10% off any selected treatmentThe annual essentials plan is £162 and is the same as the monthly plan but it does include the very first checkup, and therefore better value for money.

There is a perio-support dental plan for people that suffer from gum disease, which gives 2 more hygienist appointments compared to the essentials plan. There are monthly and annual options here as well.

Perio-support Monthly plan is £24 a month and does not include the very first checkup. It does include the checkup in 6 months time along with four sessions of dental cleans and 10% off any selected treatment.

The annual perio support plan is £252 and is the same as the perio support monthly plan, but it does include the very first check-up, and therefore better value for money.

These dental plans are different from finance plans. We offer a finance facility designed to help spread the costs of selected dental treatments, with 0% interest over 12 months. Interest applies for periods longer than 12 months, and a finance application is required.
