DRÂ EFSTATHIOS GEORGOPOULOS
Associate Dentist
GDC: 236337
DipDS (Thessaloniki), BSc (Hons) Dental Technology (Cardiff)

Hi, I’m Stathis and I was born in Athens in Greece.
I initially qualified as a Dental Technician in Cardiff in 2002 and then went on to graduate as a Dentist in Greece at the University of Thessaloniki. Dental Technology has proved to be a key advantage, as it has provided a great foundation for the technical aspects of dentistry.
Since then, I worked in both NHS and private practises in the UK, before working full time at Fosse Park in Leicester for Centre For Dentistry. Since CFD went to administration, I have been looking for a dental practice to accommodate the patient list that was registered with myself, so that I ensure the continuity of their dental care.
In my opinion, one of the most important aspects in dentistry is to listen to patients first and then explain and provide all available treatment options; My purpose is to make patients feel at ease before going ahead with any intervention;
You can be sure that I will always be calm and confident, making you feel completely at ease during your time in the dental chair.Â
In my free time I enjoy spending quality time with my family, my wife Katie and looking after my 2 children, Anna and Dimitris.
We also enjoy spending time with friends and family that regularly visit us either from Greece or the UK.

I have worked at both NHS and private practices, with many wonderful clinicians. This allowed me to gain a lot of experience in both, general and specialist aspects of dentistry. In addition, for number of years, I have held a Lead Dental Nurse position.
I enjoy fast paced environment of dental practice and all aspects of dentistry, however I have a special interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, as well as oral surgery.

I understand that seeing dentists (as lovely and friendly as they are!) can be nerve wrecking experience which keeps many people wide awake for many nights before the visit and many others, sadly, stops fully from attending. I strongly believe that bubbly personality, smiley face and friendly attitude at the chair side, make a world of difference and this is what I bring to our dental team.
I have had a pleasure of working with Dr Roy and Dr Georgopoulos previously and I am very happy I can work with them again.
Outside of work I most enjoy being a mum to my little daughter, Charlotte. I also love being outdoors with my family and our German shepherd, Sheldon, which gives me great opportunity to enjoy my other hobby which is amateur photography. Reading and embroidery are the “me time” activities.
