Root Canal Treatment Leicester

If tooth decay has reached the nerve of the tooth, which can cause tooth pain, then a root canal treatment would be recommended to save the tooth. This can usually take multiple appointments to ensure the tooth is free of infection and filled correctly from the root to the crown of the tooth.

We recommend a full exam if it has been a while since you have had a checkup.

A Dental Examination includes: -

- Patient's dental concerns/wants
- Oral Hygiene Habits/Advice/Prevention
- Oral Cancer Screening
- TMJ Check (The joint of the Jaw)
- BPE Periodontal charting (Health of Gums)
- Odontogram (Health of Teeth)
- Bitewing x-rays (free with first check-up)
- Intra-oral photographs (if needed)
- Special test investigations (if needed)
- A Summary of all the findings
- Treatment options
- Details of each option
- The Potential Risks
- Recommended treatment
- Treatment plan

(If you are having some discomfort and believe you need a filling urgently, then it is best to book an Urgent appointment instead of an exam, where we will focus on the problematic tooth and hoepfully treat it within the same appointment.)

 Urgent appointment includes: -

- Discussing the problem the patient is having their tooth
- Dental peri-apical x-ray to assess the tooth
- Treatment plan options with advantages, disadvantages and prices
- Try to complete treatment within the same appointment

Can not thank Dr Roy and Natalie enough. Iam a very anxious patient with a needle phobia. Dr Roy was more than amazing, kind and I hardly felt anything during my filling. Natalie is very calming and reassuring.

We would recommend an urgent appointment, which is where we look at the specific problem and then hopefully treat it the same day. The cost of the urgent appointment is £55 and this includes a periapical x-ray to assess a single tooth or few teeth in the area as well as a diagnosis and treatment plan. Any treatment selected from the treatment plan by the patient will have it's own cost on top.

How much does a root canal cost?

If the tooth is an incisor or canine, the price is £660 and if the tooth is a molar, then the cost is £825 . We do not perform root canals on wisdom teeth.

Yes, we provide online booking as well as booking your appointment over the phone or within the practice.

Yes we are and we provide disabled bathroom facilities.
