Dentistry awards 2021 I am proud to say that Smile Serenity has made the finalist list for Best Practice 2021. Apparently there has been a record number of entries this year so it is quite an achievement to be shortlisted. Hi Everyone!! We did it! We are finally registered with the CQC, which means we are now allowed to OPEN!! :) We aim to officially open on Tuesday 27th of April.  We will be sending out an e-mail to everyone who has subscribed within the next couple of days. Hi Everyone!! We finally have had our inspection today after many months of waiting and i believe the inspection went well. We should hear back from the CQC on their official decision within the next two weeks.  Once we have heard the news (fingers crossed)  that we are registered with the CQC, then we can officially open our doors to the public. We have had interested patients write in, wondering about the cost for children for the dental plan. I am pleased to say that for any parent who is registered on the dental plan, their children under the age of 16 can have examinations done FREE, along with the same 10% discount off any selected treatments. Hey everyone, Hate to start this update with some bad news but our inspection date with the CQC has been delayed again. This has been very frustrating for us all and I will continue to chase them up. I do imagine the inspection will take place this month however from what I have heard, it usually takes two weeks after this inspection date from when we can open our doors to the public.  On the bright side, the practice construction is now complete and by next week after the deep clean has been done, I look forward to sharing the latest photos. Hi everyone, Sorry it has been a while since the last update. Due to Covid-19 there have been delays all around but we have some good news. Yesterday we have had the call from the CQC and we now know our inspection date. We aim to open in April and it seems very likely we can reach this goal.  In the next few weeks i will be updating the website to keep you all informed on the progression of the practice to its opening. Lots of changes have happened with our team getting bigger to the building itself. I look forward to sharing the latest photos of a practice with you all very soon. Hi guys, Firstly, we want to say thank you for everyone's support and patience during this time. Honestly it means a great deal and we hope we can provide you the very best in dental care once we open.   Start of a new year and we find ourselves still in the midst of the challenges brought by this global pandemic. It is important to stay resilient to overcome the problems presented by COVID-19. We are combating this problem at the practice by installing air purifying systems that can kill the virus and powerful ventilation systems that can change the air quickly between patients. Patient and staff safety are a priority and we will continue to work hard in problem solving these issues. The Care Quality Commission (CQC), the regulator of dental practices/health care providers, are having delays in carrying out inspections/approvals due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. They haven't given us an exact date for this inspection and this has been frustrating for all, but completely understand with the nature of this pandemic. Once we are given a date, we will have a better idea when we can open our doors and services to everyone so please subscribe to ensure you see the latest updates posted.  We have found a great practice plan provider and are working closely to ensure that the plan will deliver on providing a range of benefits, such as making dental treatments more affordable and having emergency dental cover abroad. Once the plan is ready, the details will be uploaded to the website so that patients can see the value of becoming a Smile Serenity member. Hi everyone, hope you are all well and that you are all keeping safe during this unprecedented time. It has been a challenging year for everyone. The world of dentistry has been hit hard and routine dentistry has come to a halt due to the number of emergency dental treatments that built up during the lockdown. Never thought i would have to wear a full hazmat suit while treating a patient....was scary enough for visiting the dentist before COVID-19. Now there are many new challenges for every dentist and dental practice as they try to do their best in providing dental care for their patients.  Smile Serenity Dental Care is really starting to take shape including my dental team as i am finding brilliant passionate people wanting to join. I am working hard to get everything ready for our CQC inspection. Once this has been approved, we can open our doors to the public, which should be around January or February. I will try to keep you all posted on how things progress.
